Where the numbers come from

This is the operating model behind DRAM Monitor: what we measure, what we derive, what we refuse to claim, and how corrections flow back into the site.

01

Korea is the anchor

Samsung and SK Hynix make Korea the highest-signal public window into memory supply, and KCS publishes detailed customs data quickly.

02

Use a published HSK basket

The export basket follows a 14-code memory classification used in Korean semiconductor trade research.

03

Separate freshness layers

10-day preliminary rows, monthly first prints, and revised final customs rows are labeled differently.

04

Do not fabricate HBM precision

HBM cannot be isolated from customs codes. HBM pages use supplier-share estimates and stay marked as estimated.

05

Preserve reproducibility

Briefs store the exact JSON snapshot used by the generator so errors can be traced to source data or model output.

Source map

Make the method iterable

If you spot stale data, unclear code mapping, or a derivation that needs more explanation, send feedback. Corrections are mapped back to source, status, and page copy.
